On the death of Laura Branigan

It was with a saddened heart that I found out that Laura Branigan died at the age of 47 in her New York home. She was very popular when I was a young man and when the music of the time was very important to me. Her hits like Gloria, Solitaire and How Am I suppose to Live without you? were chart toppers and my favorite Self Control was almost a theme song for me in my early rambuncious youth. Although I haven't listened to her music in years and did not follow her career I'm saddened to find out that the world has lost a lovely and strong voice and a good performer.
